It was the decision of SATIB Insurance Brokers that resulted in the formation of SATIB Conservation Trust. SIB continues to support the Trust, financially and with logistical, secretarial and day-to-day operating expenses, enabling the Trust to ensure that donor-funding is 100% allocated to nominated research projects. In addition, SIB provides insurance protection to various research projects, in particular the legal liability protection on research programmes.
